Aphex Twin's Legendary Lost Album Caustic Window sees Light of Day

Made possible by over 4,000 kickstart backers.

An entire album from Richard D. James, aka Aphex Twin, was set to drop in 1994. Unfortunately, that never happened until 2014 when a seller listed the album for sale on Discogs asking for a huge price. However, before it was sold, Mr. James and Rephlex Records agreed to launch a kickstarter and open up the album to a wider audience. The program allowed any backer who contributed id="root"6USD to receive a lossless digital copy of the every track on the officially unreleased album. The goal was $9,300 but in the end raised over $67,000. The test pressing itself is being autioned on eBay. At the time of writing, the bid is up to id="root"0,750. Didn't make it in on time? You can always stream the album via YouTube:
