After setting the standards last year, Defected Records are to host two events at the Miami Winter Music Conference in '05 on consecutive days. This will be a battle between the original pioneers of house and the new generation (New Players) of established Defected DJ's. Featuring: The Original Pioneers. Weds 23rd March. Daytime: 1 - 9 pm Poolside at The National Hotel. Blaze, Kenny Dope, Danny Krivit, Dimitri FP, Jay J Hernandez, Simon Dunmore, (Kenny Dope to perform exclusive funk, soul and hip hop set). The first event will be happening poolside at Miami's most renowned hotel The National on Weds 23rd March and then on the 24th March at Miami's newest club 'Amika'. Defected are hosting two very different events in Miami. The first is with the godfathers of house music, Kenny Dope, Dimitri FP and Danny Krivit et al. The vibe will be fun and laid back and promises a soundtrack full of soul, funk, disco and electro boogie, kicked off with Kenny Dope doing an eclectic set perfect for the hot Miami climate. Just like last year we get to party around The National 210" ft pool. To add to the glamour of this beachside venue it has also been specially redesigned with added teepees and hammocks. There will be masseurs, tarot card readers and henna tattooists painting 'Defected In the House' Logos anywhere on your body that you want. As well as the DJ's Defected are introducing a live element. Barbara Tucker kicks off proceedings by performing her new track with Blaze - Most Precious Love. This is our tip to be the track for the Miami music conference. Watch out for an exclusive appearance from Reel People performing tracks from their album - Second Guess. This is what partying in Miami is all about - the best DJ's and Live artists outdoors! Our second big party is at Amika formerly The Shadow Lounge). This party will have a complete opposite vibe to the daytime event - manic and energetic. Amika is a massive 1500 capacity venue with 60's-ish décor feel where we can rip up the dance floor deep down and dirty disco style. Here we can show off the new generation of Defected DJ's. It will be an all out house music assault, all night long. Exactly what is expected of a Miami hot ticket. These parties are designed to showcase the broad spectrum of house that Defected Records represents, from funky disco, vocal and soulful to down right deep and dirty. Both will be unmissable.
