Howard Stern Re-Signs with Sirius XM

The King of All Media remains.

After months of telling fans that he might not be back on the airwaves of Sirius XM, Howard Stern announced today that he will spend five more years at the satellite station. Stern, whose previous 5-year contract totaled $500 million, declined to discuss specific figures but said the deal was “very fair.” Sirius XM’s CEO Mel Karmazin was thrilled about Stern returning to the station, saying "Howard is a great talent and we are thrilled that he will continue to provoke, engage and entertain on Sirius XM…He is one of the few 'one-name' entertainers in the country and our 20 million subscribers are lucky to have him.” Stern's new contract will run through Dec. 31, 2015, with Sirius getting the right to transmit his programming to mobile devices, so fans will now be able to tune in wherever they are.
