Two new Boutique synths. One looks back at the Jupiter-8, and the other is the first wavetable synth in the series. Both are $549.99 and available now.
Roland has added two compact synthesizers to its Boutique series: the JUPITER-08 and the n/vision. Each comes with the K-25m keyboard dock and has built-in speakers. Both run on batteries or USB-C, and both connect over USB for audio and MIDI. The JUPITER-08 marks the Jupiter-8’s 45th anniversary. Its sound engine and controls are modelled on the original instrument, and polyphony expands internally up to 32 voices. Roland says it has refined voice allocation and pitch behaviour to give it a more vintage response. It also has: a two-part, 64-step polyphonic sequencer an arpeggiator 17 effects, including chorus and MFX, plus a dedicated delay reverb in five types, with a shimmer mode The n/vision is new ground for the Boutique line. It has two wavetable layers that you can blend and shape with the front-panel controls or edit in more depth through the menus. Modulation can control wavetable position, layer balance, pitch and shaping. The wave-shaper adds harmonics through nonlinear processing. It also has: a step LFO, envelope modulation and oscillator modulation motion recording an analog-modelling filter with drive, plus several filter models based on classic synths the same effects as the JUPITER-08 Both are on sale now for $549.99 USD each, keyboard dock included.
