New live album out in March.
After reuniting in grand fashion and headlining Lollapalooza with their release of Telephantasm last year, Soundgarden will debut their first-ever live album, Live on 15, on March 22nd. All of the recordings on Live on 15 come from shows that the grunge kings played on the West Coast in November and December of 1996, after releasing their final studio LP, Down on the Upside. Shortly after these live shows were recorded, the band broke up, and the tapes were left to gather dust in Studio X in Seattle until now. Apparently, guitarist Kim Thayil has been hinting that they’re now working on new material. We’ll see.
