Grammy officials have announced that Irish rock legends U2 will perform live at the 47th Grammy Awards. Punk icons Green Day will also perform. Along with U2 and Green Day, Alicia Keys and Tim McGraw have also confirmed a Grammy performance to be held on February 13 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The show will be hosted by hip-hop mistress Queen Latifah. Green Day are up for six Grammys for their album "American Idiot" including Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Rock Album. U2 have two nominations including Best Rock Song for their single "Vertigo" from the 2004 album "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb". Kanye West leads this year's nominations with 10. Green Day is currently on tour in Europe and commence a U.S. tour this April. U2 will begin a huge world tour later this year.
