The awe-inspiring Warped Bass remix now includes vocals from Marc Almond himself.
You might have caught this Richard Grey take last Summer on a smattering of mix CDs, June 4th 2007 will see the proper release for an updated package featuring a fashionable video (currently one of the top requested on MTV Dance), fresh remixes from Sharam and Dave Spoon, and most importantly vocals from Marc Almond (from the original Soft Cell - Tainted Love, 1981). The original track is still wildly popular with its signature synth hook, however, this new interpretation is probably the best modern release we've encountered. It was a very popular single from the 2007 Miami Winter Music Conference, featured within the sets of Bob Sinclar, David Guetta and Erick Morillo. In the UK, Radio 1 DJs Jo Whiley and Zane Lowe proclaimed it as 'the biggest tune of Miami'. Plus, the godfather himself, Pete Tong, played it for 13 weeks in a row. We absolutely love the original Richrd Grey take; and this time (a rarity in our experience), the original holds its ground with the remixes. Sharam's take is decent, with some common themes and a grittier filter on the main synth line. Dave Spoon's is absolutely terrific, combining euphoric verses with old-school charm.
