Let's get a serious discussion going gang. As somebody who has been out of the scene for a good decade (blaming the kids) shit has moved on at an incredible rate. Trying to get my head around and get up to speed on the most useful modern tools is pretty heavy going. For me it all started with Rebirth back in 1998, quickly followed by Fruity Loops. Next I managed to get a dodgy copy of Cubase and a cheap Midi controller. From there it was onto Reason and a slew of other random applications, controllers, keyboards and general crap I rarely used. Now I just have my MacBook, FLStudio and my beloved Audacity. From where I'm sitting I don't see the need for much else. FLStudio is really the dogs danglies. I'm finding a new feature that blows my mind every 10 bloody minutes. MUTAFUKIN STEM EXTRACTION OH MY GAWD! Anyway would love to hear what you are all using and what you would recommend to clutter my Applications folder and office with.
